Unfortunately, is IS cancer.
A week from Friday I will have radioactive iodine treatment.
I will also know if it has spread that day.
My emotions are all over the place.
I am going to a New Member Meeting at Gilda's Club on Monday!
Next week is nothing but appointments and tests.
And at the end, they give me poison :(
The low-iodine diet they have me on SUCKS ASS.
Seriously, I'm not lying.
Yes, I am scared.
They tell me my chances are good.
I certainly hope they are right.
I'm betting my life on it.

In pain.
Pathology reports on Monday.

I'm not sure which stage I am going thru.
I'm just scared and want this shit out of me.

The biopsy results were not good.
I have thyroid cancer.
I am terrified.

A few weeks ago the doctor felt a nodule on my thyroid. Upon further inspection, it is actually pretty large and wrapped around the thyroid. I saw an endocrinologist yesterday and he did a biopsy right then and there. Two shots to numb it and 8 shots to extract cells from different areas of it. I won't know anything until Tuesday or Wednesday. My neck is bruised and sore.

Regardless of the results it has to come out because it is pressing against my trachea. Surgery. A scar on my neck. Great.

He also said that my sugar and triglycerides are too high and if I can't get them down within 6 months with diet I will have to go on insulin :( I see the nutritionist on Tuesday.

Hoping for the best.

I have a large growth on my thyroid. Seeing an endocrinologist tomorrow morning. Not sure if they will do a biopsy then or if they will schedule me for one at a later date. Kinda nervous.

Tired. Sore. Muscles tight. Maybe I'll take a nap? Been up since 3:45 this morning.
